The skydiving Experience
BOOK IN
On arrival report to reception and get yourself booked in.
TRAINING
Which takes about 20 minutes and is purposefully designed to be simple and easy to remember. There’s nothing complicated about it. The main safety points are the body positions you’ll need to adopt when leaving the aircraft, whilst in freefall, and the landing. Other than that the instructor does everything else for you.
EQUIPMENT
As your turn comes to jump you’ll be called to the equipment area for kitting up.
FINAL CHECK
A final equipment check by your instructor and you’re off to the aircraft.
FLIGHT
The flight to altitude takes about 15 minutes - giving you plenty of time to enjoy the views and go through the final safety checks.
EXIT
At the point of exit the adrenalin will be pumping - but don’t worry your experienced instructor is literally right behind you looking after you all the way.
FREE FALL
Falling through the air at 125 mph high above the ground is truly out of this world! Enjoy every moment of it! It lasts for approximately 10 seconds if you jump from 7,000ft, or 30 seconds from 10,000 feet and 60 seconds from 15,000ft.
DEPLOYMENT
Your instructor deploys the parachute for you at around 5000 feet (about a mile up).
FLOAT DOWN
Over the next 5 or so minutes you float gently back to earth safely suspended under a fully open parachute. If you want a go at steering just ask.
LANDING
At the command of your instructor you adopt the landing position you were taught during training and prepare yourself for touch down. Your instructor lands the parachute for you.
AWESOME!
You’ve just made your very first parachute jump with the experts at North London Skydiving Centre - and it’ll be an experience you’ll remember forever!
