A highly enjoyable activity, which anyone over the age of 4 can participate in, allowing you to experience the sensations of free fall without actually having to jump out of an aeroplane!

The purpose of the course is to introduce you to the art of body flying (which skydivers use in freefall) by working through the following training syllabus whilst flying in our on-site vertical wind tunnel freefall simulator.

North London Parachute Skydiving Centre is proud to be the only skydiving operation in the UK to offer on-site wind tunnel freefall simulator training.

Training Syllabus

Has received instruction on the basic principles of body flying.
Has demonstrated the ability to hold a still and controlled body position in the airflow, with minimal assistance.
Has demonstrated the ability to move up and down in the air column.
Has demonstrated the ability to move backwards and forwards in the air column.
Has demonstrated the ability to perform controlled 360° turns in the airflow in either direction.
Has demonstrated the ability to move from side to side in the air column.

Be warned though... it's great fun and VERY addictive!

Charges are as follows...

For those attending our skydiving courses

£5 per flight. (A flight lasts about 75 seconds)

For Non-skydiving participants

£20 per person per session on Wednesdays

(Please note! A "session" consists of two flights each lasting approximately 75 seconds - i.e. a total of approximately 2 ½ minutes flying time.)

Weekend and other group "session" prices are as follows

1 person attending on their own on any Saturday or Sunday	£35 per session
2 people attending as a group on any Saturday or Sunday	£30 per person per session
3 people attending as a group on any Saturday or Sunday	£25 per person per session
4+ people attending as a group on any Saturday or Sunday	£20 per person per session

Additional flights can also be purchased on the day for just £5 per flight if required!

All prices quoted include a separate payment to the instructors who provide their services independently.

Operating times

For those attending our skydiving courses:

The wind tunnel operates each day we're open (between the hours of 9am and 6pm) as and when instructors are available - i.e. when they're not skydiving, or at the scheduled times shown below.

For non-skydiving participants:

Scheduled flying sessions commence at 6pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. You will need to arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand.

Restrictions and conditions

Anyone over the age of 4, weighing 16 stone or less and in good overall health can fly.

Those under the age of 18 however will require written parental consent on a specific form. Also, if you're pregnant, suffer from weak limbs that might dislocate when subjected to a strong wind, or are on prescribed medication, you shouldn't consider taking part without first obtaining approval from your doctor.

Weather

The tunnel can operate in almost all weather conditions.

Clothing required

Normal casual clothes such as jogging bottoms and trainers are ideal. Everything else is provided.

Spectators

Are more than welcome but please do warn them that there can be a lot of hanging around involved without much to see

For those attending our skydiving courses

Bookings can be made at the airfield on the day. Just let us know if you wish to fly when you arrive.

For non-skydiving participants

You can either book a date online anytime or by calling the booking office on 0871 664 0113 anytime Monday to Friday 9am to 4.45pm, Full non-refundable payment is required with the booking which can be paid by most credit or debit cards.
