A course for those wanting to learn how to skydive on their own from the word go!

There are two ways to get started...

Method 1- Traditional Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Level 1

A full day in the class room going through the required training syllabus followed by your first skydive with two instructors from an altitude of up to 13,000 feet using your own parachute - as shown in the above video.

Method 2- Tandem Assisted Freefall (TAFF) Levels 1 and 2

Two Tandem skydives from up to 13,000 feet with instructional briefs before each jump. This method is designed to get you in the air as quickly as possible and provides practical experience of both freefall and canopy handling, amongst other things, before going solo with traditional AFF level 2.

North London Skydiving Centre is currently the only skydiving operation in the UK permitted to offer TAFF as an alternative to traditional AFF level 1.

Having completed your introductory course, using either of these two training methods, you'll be given the opportunity to sign up for the rest of the traditional Accelerated Freefall course (AFF) and go on to obtain your skydiving licence.

This involves completing AFF levels 2 to 8 (all of which are jumps using your own parachute, as shown on the above video, with the necessary instruction included, and can be achieved in a minimum of 7 jumps) plus a further 10 jumps on your own - known as consolidation jumps.

Once qualified jump prices greatly reduce and you'll also be able to start jumping with other people from altitudes up to 13,000 feet free falling for approximately 70 seconds before deploying your parachute to be open at 2000 feet.

Prices for either “Method 1” or “Method 2” of the introductory course are as follows...

You can let us know which method you prefer on arrival!

1 person attending on their own £395
2 people attending as a group £360 per person
3 people attending as a group £330 per person
4 people attending as a group £300 per person

However, those having already made a Tandem skydive with us can join the TAFF course at Level 2 and deduct the full price paid for their initial jump (which acts as TAFF level 1) from the above prices – as long as they attend the course within three months of their initial jump and meet the age, height and weight requirements quoted below.

All prices include the mandatory membership of the British Parachute Association and third party insurance cover for £2,000,000 as well a separate payment to the instructors who provide their services independently.

The charge for completing the remaining 7 levels of the complete course (i.e. AFF levels 2 to 8) is then £850. You'll also need to upgrade your temporary British Parachute Association membership to full membership.

If you have to repeat any of the levels these are charges at cost. Currently £160 for AFF levels 1 to 3, £100 for AFF levels 4 to 7 and £70 for AFF level 8.

The 10 consolidation jumps are charged at £30 each.

Our Payment Scheme

If it helps we have an interest free payment scheme available to anyone who possesses a cheque book and cheque guarantee card. It works like this...

You will need to pay a £50 reservation deposit when you make your booking. The balance of the course fee (i.e. the full amount minus the £50 deposit) will then be due on the day you attend and if it helps can be paid in 5 equal monthly instalments by providing 5 post dated cheques supported by a cheque guarantee card. These will then be banked one a month over 5 months as the dates come up.
